Diploma courses in Australia
The lowest-cost entry point, often with credit transfer into a Bachelor's afterwards. A legitimate route, particularly if your grades fall short of direct entry. The thing to watch: a diploma with no relationship to what you studied before is one of the most common weak points in a refused application.
Bachelor's degrees
Typically three to four years. The standard route for students coming from intermediate, FSc or A-levels. See studying in Australia after 12th.
Masters in Australia for international students
One to two years, and the most common choice for Pakistani students who already hold a degree. Coursework Master's are the norm; research Master's open different funding options.
PhD in Australia
Three to four years, usually supervisor-led, and the level where full funding plus a living stipend is genuinely achievable. Approach potential supervisors directly with a proposal rather than waiting for an advertised scholarship. See scholarships.
Occupation lists
High demand courses in Australia
Fields that appear most consistently on skilled occupation lists: nursing and allied health, IT and cyber security, engineering, accounting, and data-related fields.
Demand helps your longer-term plan. It does not decide your visa, and it should not decide your course on its own. A field you have no background in is a weak Genuine Student story now and an unusable qualification later. The best courses for PR guide covers this honestly, and the PR guide covers what the pathway actually requires.

Fees
What a course costs
Tuition moves with three things: the field, the level, and the university tier. Roughly AUD 20,000 to 45,000 a year, with health sciences and engineering at the higher end and business and arts at the lower.
Work out your all-in number, in rupees, with the cost calculator, or read the full cost breakdown.
Genuine Student
Choosing a course that will survive your visa application
The mistake that costs people most: choosing on price or on occupation list alone.
Your course choice is assessed. A case officer will look at what you studied, what you have done since, and what you are now applying for, and ask whether the three make sense together. If they do not, the strength of the university will not save the application.
Before you commit to a field, read the Genuine Student guide.
