Victoria University February 2027: scholarships and application checks

UpdatesPublished Updated by Tausif Khan· 2 min read

If you are considering Victoria University Melbourne for February 2027, check your course's intake and scholarship conditions together. A tuition discount and an accommodation award cover different costs, and neither should be treated as a promise that all study expenses are covered.

Tuition scholarships

The VU Block Model International Scholarship offers eligible new international students a 10%, 20% or 30% reduction in first-year tuition, assessed using previous academic results. The first-year award covers the first two semesters; 30% awards are limited.

VU assesses applicants automatically after an eligible course application. Confirm the award in your offer and acceptance arrangements before using it in your budget. English, vocational education and research courses are excluded, as are sponsored students.

Continuing support depends on academic performance. VU's published renewal criteria require 96 credit points each year, with weighted average marks of 50%, 70% and 80% corresponding to 10%, 20% and 30% awards respectively. Check the full terms for exceptions.

STEM accommodation awards

VU's international scholarships page describes limited accommodation awards for selected offshore students entering eligible science, engineering and information technology degrees. Applicants must be over 18 when their studies begin.

Successful undergraduate applicants receive 52 weeks of accommodation, valued at AUD 15,548. For postgraduate applicants, the published award is 26 weeks, valued at AUD 8,502. These awards provide accommodation rather than a cash payment.

Recipients still pay a refundable AUD 1,300 security deposit, plus a AUD 170 reservation fee and AUD 170 departure cleaning fee. Merit and availability matter, so confirm the award before relying on it for accommodation plans.

Before you apply

Confirm the intake for your chosen course, the application and acceptance deadlines that apply to your country, and the documents needed to assess your application. Use VU's academic calendar to check the teaching period alongside your course and offer details.
