Who we are

UniDirect is run by UniDirect Pvt Ltd. We help students find study options abroad, prepare their applications and connect with counsellors. UniDirect is powered by AusPak, which processes university and visa applications for our students.

In this policy, "we" and "us" means UniDirect Pvt Ltd, and "you" means anyone who uses unidirect.io, creates an account, fills in one of our forms or contacts us.

What we collect

We only ask for what we need to advise you and to process your application.

  • Account details: your email address, phone number and password (we store the password only in scrambled, one-way form).
  • Your profile: name, date of birth, gender, nationality and citizenship, city, education history and grades, English level and test scores, where and what you want to study, your budget, how you plan to fund your studies, any previous visa refusals, and emergency contacts you add.
  • Documents you upload: for example your passport, transcripts, test results and bank statements.
  • Forms and messages: what you send through our contact form, our Facebook and Instagram lead forms (name, phone, email and your answers), and your conversations with our team by phone, WhatsApp or email.
  • How you found us: the campaign or link that brought you to the site (for example an ad or a partner's post).
  • How you use the site: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and similar technical data collected through cookies and similar tools (see below).

How we use it

  • To create and run your account and show you programs that fit your profile and budget.
  • To let our call team and your counsellor contact you, advise you and prepare your application.
  • To prepare and submit university and visa applications when you ask us to.
  • To answer your questions, including through our AI assistant, Ask UniDirect.
  • To send you updates about your application, and information about intakes and events, which you can opt out of.
  • To measure which of our ads and pages work, and to show our ads to people likely to find them useful.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only where needed for the purposes above:

  • AusPak, our processing partner, which prepares and lodges university and visa applications on your behalf.
  • Universities, colleges and visa authorities you apply to, with the documents and details your application needs, when you ask us to apply.
  • Service providers who run parts of our service for us, under contract and only for our purposes: website and database hosting (Vercel, Neon), our customer relationship system (GoHighLevel), which holds your contact details and application progress but not your documents, AI providers that generate the assistant's replies (Anthropic or Google), email delivery, and analytics and advertising tools (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, PostHog and Meta).
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside Pakistan and Australia, for example in the United States. We choose providers that protect personal information to a recognised standard.

Ask UniDirect, our AI assistant

When you chat with Ask UniDirect, your messages and the parts of your profile needed to answer are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We store your conversations so your UniDirect team can read them to help with your application. Staff access is logged. Conversations are kept for 12 months after the last message, then deleted through our scheduled retention process; they are also deleted with your account. Starting a new chat clears the conversation from your screen but does not delete the saved record. The assistant never sees your uploaded documents. Its answers are guidance, not a promise of admission or a visa, and a counsellor is always available.

Cookies and similar tools

  • Essential: keep you signed in securely. The site does not work without them.
  • Preferences: remember choices such as showing prices in rupees, stored in your browser.
  • Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics, PostHog and the Meta Pixel tell us how people use the site and which ads lead to sign-ups, and let Meta show our ads to similar people. We may also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) version of contact details from a sign-up or lead so it can match the result to an ad.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and limit ad personalisation in your Facebook and Google account settings. Blocking analytics or advertising cookies does not stop the site from working.

How we protect it

Your data travels over encrypted connections. Documents are kept in private storage and opened only through short-lived links by the staff working on your case. Staff see only what their role needs, and access to your documents is logged. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and profile while your account is open and for as long as we need them to support an application in progress, answer questions about it or meet legal and accounting requirements. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your information unless we must keep some of it by law; anything already sent to a university, visa authority or AusPak is then held under their own policies.

Your choices and rights

  • See the personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct it: most of it you can edit yourself in your profile.
  • Ask us to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time, using the link in the message or by replying STOP.

Email support@unidirect.io and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in Australia and are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Students under 18

Our service is for people planning higher education. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian, who will usually need to support your application and finances.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email or in your dashboard.
